Not the same as individually wrapped wipes.Jul 04, 2008
By C. Huang I ordered this from [...]. And then I found out it doesn't contain the same ingredients as the Purell gel or individually wrapped Purell hand sanitizing wipes. I was looking for the same product that contains 62% of Ethyl Alcohol. Instead, this product has Benzethonium Chloride 0.1% as active ingredient - same active ingredient as the Wet Ones. (Wet Ones contains 0.3% of Benzethonium Chloride). I'm returning this product and reordering the individually wrapped Purell wipes, they are much more pricey though.

Used in computer labsNov 24, 2007

We put these wipes in our two computer labs to reduce the impact of cold & flu season. Students can use them to wipe their hands as well as the keyboard & mouse. Use is entirely voluntary, though our faculty and lab assistants are proving to be pretty good role models. We got the jumbo canister and I hope to find a mounting rack; right now the canister sits on a chair near the door so people can grab a wipe. They do not leave much of a fragrance on your hands, and they do not dry out your hands. They are just what we had hoped they'd be.

Good product - execellent cleaning.Jul 13, 2010
By Kay It cleans well and leaves a fresh look to the surface it cleans. I held back on one star because it is too slippery, but I guess the same is the case with any wet wipe.

purell wipes in a canOct 18, 2009

sounded like a great idea, and they do work, but they are not the same as the single packed wipes. There is certainly a of the purell fluid, but the texture is very scratchy and wet. I was expecting a more babywipe texture, softer. Glad I only bought the one tub.

The best wipes in town !!!Aug 04, 2007
By Matthew G. Sherwin Purell makes an excellent hand sanitizer wipe for any occasion when you need to clean and disinfect your hands but you just can't get to a sink. You can carry the small canister inside a larger pocketbook or a briefcase if you want to carry these wipes with you.
I would use the wipes as I need them by pulling out just one at a time to keep them fresh as I use them. If you can, keep the top closed to make use the wetness in each wipe stays fresh so it will have the maximum disinfecting capacity. You can also hang this canister on the wall if you use the proper hanging device and/or some brackets.
Purell kills germs. What's the secret? Purell does indeed kill 99.99% of common germs in as little as 15 seconds. It does this through its active ingredient alcohol. Excellent!
A few caveats: wash this off your hands before eating; and supervise small children as they use Purell. Purell may say that it's hypoallergenic; but it does have a slight fragrance. Purell's fragrance will not overwhelm you by any stretch of the imagination; but if you are allergic to scents then you may need to use another product. Ask your doctor about this issue if it concerns you. In addition, any liquid on the Purell wipe is flammable--I assume because of the alcohol content--so keep these wipes away from fire.
Overall, Purell hand sanitizer wipes are just about the best cleaner for your hands whenever you are on the go and you just can't get to a sink to wash your hands. It helps in hospitals, too! Just as the company notes, this is great for cleaning your hands after changing diapers. I highly recommend this product for people who want to keep their hands germ free while using public facilities.
Score a goal for Purell!
